GONG HEI FATT CHOY!!! SAN LIN FAI LOK

"Ngo zhi tou ngo hou chi zhou, pat ko zhong yow kei yatt tou chap go mei..
ngo hou hou loi mou kong kwong tong wa, ngo sii har la, hei mong lei tei ming pak ngo kong mi yeh :)

Gong hei fatt choy, san lin fai lok, ngo hei mong lei ko lin wui fai fai lok lok, lei wui yaw hong meng, yatt yatt tou hoi hoi sam sam, yatt yatt tou kin hong, yow hong yeh sek."

ok..that's all i can come up with..told you my Cantonese was BAD!!! i desperately need to find more people to speak Cantonese with, so malufying man but i still had to try...

just in case..here's the translation:
"I know I'm very late but there's still a few more days till chap go mei (the 15th day of CNY celebrations) Wishing you prosperity, joyous new year, i hope your year will be joyous, you will have a good life, everyday you are happy, everyday you are healthy and have good things to eat.."
May the year of the tiger be filled with opportunities for you, new adventures and exciting moments. I pray that you will have much love, peace and joy in your homes, togetherness and unity this coming year. May you and your family be prosperous, healthy and successful. New year doesnt just mean clean house, new look, new clothes but a new chapter in your life, precious time spent with family and getting through things together..

For me, right now, i am away from home. The closest thing that i have to home is Skype, sms's and photos that my relatives posted up on FB. CNY here was fun..but more on that later ;P

This year back home, many unexpected things happened..both good and bad. Unexpected visitations, unexpected deaths and unexpected news. All in all, it's good that family was all there to get through it all together. Every year, every birthday i miss, every celebration, i always think to myself..how i wish i was there with them.. that feeling sucks, it just makes me miss home more. gosh..

today i was recalling the past CNYs in my life..
  1. i miss hanging up the decorations
  2. i miss meeting the visitors and sitting with them listening to how their days were
  3. i miss steamboat nite!!!
  4. i miss waiting for my relatives to come from singapore...always hoping that this year we would get to have more fun with our cousins
  5. i miss looking over the mahjong table, seeing who is winning, trying to learn the game
  6. i miss reunion dinners where the whole family was there, all at one place
  7. i miss hearing my dad sing karaoke to his fav. chinese songs
  8. i miss the trips to Penang with my mom
  9. i miss my mom's world's best pineapple tarts, mandarin oranges
  10. i miss the whole atmosphere of CNY- loud firecrackers till late at nite, crazy laughter when someone wins a game of mahjong, the food and company, checking the mail box everyday to see if anyone sent us CNY cards, seeing red everywhere..everything really..

i used to steal the CNY cards away from my mom when its time to throw them out, i'd look at the writing, the message in it and salvage whatever parts of the card i can use..

Each year it would be different, each year there would be something to remember..too bad our memories cant store them all..maybe i should get an album or journal or something just to record the CNY moments for that year..would be great to look back at time in the future..

wow..soo many memories are coming back to me now..

so much for productive Sunday..i guess you gain some, you lose some :) it still was a good Sunday..

So those of you who are home with your families, enjoy it since you have the chance, they wont be there forever. Have a great year ahead, do things differently, try new things..whatever it is, love your life and live it, appreciate the people close to you and love, forgive and be happy.

pou zhong!!YAM SENG!!!!

Merry Christmas again??

Merry Christmas again :)

7th of January is Christmas Day for the Orthodox Churches and for some European countries..

I just found out today, that it falls on the
7th of January every year because they follow the Julian Calendar.
The Julian Calendar was used in the Ancient Roman times during the ruling of Julius Caesar. Julius -> Julian..see the connection :)
(ok, it says Happy New Year in the picture because for the Russians, celebrating the New Year is a bigger deal for them than Christmas)
In the Julian Calendar, Christmas Day falls on the 25th of December, then the whole world started using the Gregorian Calendar (which is the one we all use now, unless you're some person in your own world, time and space).
The equivalent of the 25th Dec in the Julian Calendar is 7th Jan in the Gregorian Calendar. I guess the wanted to preserve the accuracy of the date, who knows..I just thought that the Russians
just wanted to do things their own way..stupid me..

Anyway..why the 25th of December then??
Originally the 25th of December in Rome was to celebrate some Pagan holiday.
Then when the ruler of Rome at that time (Julius Caesar i think, i don't remember *sorry*) received Christ, he sort of abolished that Pagan holiday.

Instead of celebrating the Pagan god..He celebrated Christ, being thankful of the birth of Jesus Christ.
According to some historians and what not, 25th December isn't the actually date that Christ was born.
Well, that's the brief history behind Christmas, hope i was clear, not confusing and got my facts right..
Oh well..tra la la la la..for us, Christmas IS everyday.
Thank You ,God!!!!

A New Creation

Yesterday evening we had a miracle & healing service..it was awesome..

As soon as worship started, i couldn't keep it in any more..
I got on the carpet and it all came out, other people joined in the alter call for their own reasons.
the pastors started praying and speaking out words of knowledge, prophesying and calling for people with needs to come to the carpet.
no one went around laying hands, no power prayer..it was just between us and God, all we had to do was to believe and receive..and we did!!!

Jer Wei (the lead worshipper) said at the end, "the glory was so heavy in this place" ..It was like that during the alter call, its not a physical thing like the air was dense but it was a strong presence that's not just upon you or around you but also filling inside you.
my instantaneous healing was that the pains in my neck were gone..it left went i had that infilling feeling..its not the placebo effect but the real deal..i just felt my whole body get better and a knowing that i am healed completely and healthy.. i had an outburst of joy inside..i started laughing, the weakness gone..the weights on my shoulder lifted away..
all the hurt, pain, disappointment, sadness, heaviness all gone..i felt my heart empty at first but as i started praising and thanking God i felt whole..like the blood filled back my heart again.
my life is still in the gutter..nothing about that fact changed but the truth is that i changed and i can pick my life up and straighten it out..now i can do it with less load on my shoulders, a healthy body, a peaceful soul and a sound mind.
A had problems with:
GIT system
CNS system
CVS system
Resp system
Reprod system
Muscular system
Endocrine system
Vision
now they are all healed, no disorders, disbalance or diseases.
i'll confirm these testimonies a month or so from now because they are mostly chronic processes and change will be seen over time..
as for miracles: a change of heart, no more depression, financial freedom, emotional healing, freedom from all bondage, freedom in my studies for me and my family and peace in my household.

this is exciting for me but i hope i did not bore you with to much details. thank you for reading, this entry is to testify the healing and miracle i received. i hope a miracle happens for you to and God's healing is for all..believe and you will receive, how do you believe?? By faith..
"Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. Heb11:1 (Amp)
how much of faith do you need??the size of a mustard seed will do.its the one of the smallest seeds in the world..

"...For assuredly, I say to you , if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you." Matt17:20 (NKJV)

how to get faith?? from God himself..
"looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne God" Heb 12:2 (NKJV)

have a blessed week ahead and take care..hope you have your days filled with love, joy and peace..

the last and the first day of my life...

This is what I got...
  1. No matter what, He is always with me
He is in me (the Holy Spirit that puts me in-sync with Him),
behind me (to catch me when i lose my balance and fall),
in front of me (to lead me, His word s the light on my feet and shows me my path),
He is beside me (holding my hand..walking with me through it all, side by side),
He is on/ upon me (His anointing that empowers me to do what I do and my shade during those rainy days)

2. Things will go wrong, we all have problems but how do we handle it?
Do you keep going or stop there or go back or drop dead?
He said," I have made you a victor, an overcomer, a successor"
That was enough to tell me to get my ass off my bed and get up (seriously..i felt like jello-yeah that weak..bah!)

3. Who ever came out of a battle with out a fight?? Nobody..
Win the war, win the battle..all in all..
it took guts, effort, blood, sweat, tears and a will to keep on fighting.

I had the assurance that God will make a way..

Thank you to all of you who have talked with me, accompanied me, give me moral and spiritual support..you all are a blessing..you all are my ups in life.
